My ever 1st time recipe of Radish cake

A taste of the trattoria at Jade Garden. I've been long time didn't taste the radish cake... No business as usual after Christmas, every where is quiet. Boring til omg... That's why i spend the time for my culinary skill, so Eric taught me how to cook a easy and fast radish cake what i wish to eat long time ago.

Serves 6-8 people
Takes about 30minutes to prepare, 1.15 hours to steam.

Ingredients of the radish cake
1. Garlic 2. Chinese mushroom 3. Shrimp 4. Chinese sausage
5. Duck 6. Ham 7. Starch 8. Rice flour 9. Mash radish
Cooking start
1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a low heat, add the ingredients 1 to 6 and cook for 5 minutes or until good smell. set aside. Add the rice flour on the top.
2. Boil 6 bowl of water with the radish and cook 10 minutes. Mix all together with the ingredients above. Add salt, sugar and some soya sauce.
3. Put all in to a large bowl and ready to steam. 4. Add some Chinese sausage and duck on the top, steam 1.15 hours. Done. It's look delicious and mouth watering...

That's my ever 1st time, i think should be alright. Taste is not bad and delicious:) 'Mother i can cook for you when I'm home':)

I'm not that kind of 'bun people' who fancy and love bun or bread, but when i see those fresh bun, i mouth watering... it's temptation... actually it's quite nice! I start fall in love with bread, but i like brown bread the most, healthy and nice!

Take a break with easy Creamy peanut soup

Christmas, New Year and bank holiday weekends sound great in theory, don't you? I guess everyone was enjoying the end year holiday, but i was working both holiday, I've no day off, non-stop working for these two weeks, yet i felt happy... A bit harder about making food interesting, especially when too much work, which can be boring and samey. What's new food for today? That is - Creamy peanut soup. I've been long long time no taste this soup, very miss it... I mentioned it to Eric two days ago, surprisingly he cooked today. I thought peanut soup is very hard to make, because I've never see my mom cooks at home, but i just got to know that's quite easy. It's just take 20 mins, non profession but the taste is very delicious, temptation, mouth watering, yummy, very good... I will try to cook someday, would you dare to try?

Home bake Naan cheese bread


I love cheese very very much... Naan cheese is one of my favorite when i makan at mamak. Especially when i go makan at William or Murni mamak which in P.J sure i will order this. Today i have home bake Naan cheese as my supper, Eric bought it from Lydol, two pieces of Naan bread cost just 85 cents, that's cheap. The taste is not bad... looks nice:) as my 1st time bake i think that's not bad... soon i can taste the real one in Malaysia:)

Original Irish Christams meal

This year Christmas nothing special for me, be alone... working... as usual... Europe Christmas is very different compare with Asia, here have really silent night, nothing can do, no public transport, all shops closed for Christmas, but Asia have really happening, never ever silent night, all shops have never close for Christmas. which one i prefer? Haha... what do you think?

Wan Ton day

I love Won Ton since i was young, i guess most of the Asian have tried it before, it's a noted of Chinese food. Even European will know it and enjoy it. The Wan Ton reminds me of my primary school time, every early in morning before the sun grow up, my mom accompanied me and waited for the school bus, and i was always requested of my mom to buy me a bowl of Wan Ton while i was waiting for the bus, kinda warm memories...:) I cherish this sweet memory with my mom:)

An European celebrate winter solstice

A year gone very fast, but i look the same and my dream and my goal still far away from me... when can i get my 1st box of gold? Haha... 21/12/2008 today is winter solstice. The Chinese New Year is on the corner. Have been long time didn't eat 'TONG YUAN', today special request from Eric and purposed remind him today is big deal for Chinese. Wonder European never know this big deal festival for Chinese and i tried to explain to Paulina about winter solstice. She love 'TONG YUAN' when she 1st try, and she tried to make it as well... that's some fun... haha...

Bake crakers + cheese + caviar

Bake the mini and easy crackers for supper.
The very 1st time and a very creative baked.
The crackers it own is very crispy + baked = super tasty and crispy + French cheese + delicate Germany caviar = super temptation:)
Would like to give them a nice name, would you help me to named them?

Mexico mix Taco Chip + Chicken wrap

Versatile and delicious, Mexico mix Taco chip and chicken wrap are the ideal weekend ingredient. I started enjoy Taco chip, taste a little bit spicy, special cooked with chicken + beef + prawn + my favorite cheese on the top of chip for my supper. That's nice:) Paulina had her favorite chicken wrap, she tried it in plenty of salads + pasta sauces + fillet chicken for her simple supper. That's new dishes in our restaurant - Jade Graden chinese

Fire up my mouth

I wonder that I've been too long didn't eat hot and spicy food or the Thai food here is really that spicy til almost burn my mouth. As i know most of the European don like spicy and cant really eat spicy like Asian, so... I always request extra extra extra hot when I'm having spicy dish, of cause I'll not an exception for every time, but that day was really burn my mouth til i eat nothing else because of the chili is very 'GENG'!

Lobster porridge


I love porridge when i was small til now, every time when I'm enjoying the porridge, the feeling like back to children... I've always been a bit of sucker for the tasty porridge even that's just a pain porridge, and this is one of my favourite. I first discovered the delicious porridge that's from my mom recipe when i was absolutely ages ago. Every kind of porridge will suit me, because i just love it... but I've never tried the lobster porridge before til today, Eric bought the frozen lobster for just the porridge, we had a rich supper tonight:) the taste is very fresh, sweet, lovely and delicious... Eric... can u cook for us once again? haha...

Shopping day - Part 2 Lunch

1.30pm lunch time in Limerick city and met up with one friend (Weng). That day was Paulina's birthday, i purposely brought her to this famous Italian restaurant for lunch geh...
